Living an Inspired Life and Inspiring Others
There are two aspects to inspiration – being inspired and inspiring others.
The first of these enriches us and the second helps us enrich others. In this eBook, we shall learn how we can go about achieving both these results – how we can be inspired and how we can inspire others.
Read on and enrich yourself and others.
It is inspiration that keeps us going.
Living an Inspired Life
v. in·spired, in·spir·ing, in·spires
1. To affect, guide, or arouse by divine influence.
2. To fill with enlivening or exalting emotion
a. To stimulate to action; motivate
b. To affect or touch
3. To draw in (air) by inhaling.
a. To breathe on.
b. To breathe life into.
What is meant by an inspired life? Is an inspired life lived only by saints and prophets? Is inspired living the sole domain of Enlightened Ones?
The English Dictionary defines inspire‘ as to affect, guide, or arouse by divine influence’. It also means to fill with enlivening or exalting emotion’ and to stimulate to action’. Another meaning of the word is to draw in air.
But an archaic meaning of the word inspire is to breathe life into’! So Inspiration implies a breathing in of life, as well as to give life to others. For ordinary individuals and for everyday life, it means breathing in and out better. Simply put – Living Better.
To live an inspired life is to walk with an enhanced awareness of everyone and everything around you, to see divinity and delight in everyday people and events, and to infuse your environment with the same magical energy.
Again, that sounds mystical and out of reach, doesn’t it? But an Inspired Life can be inculcated through little steps every day – by reading, listening, talking, touching and breathing in only the best and beautiful of experiences. We are conscious beings, constantly being fed by our five senses. Immerse your senses in the inspiring creations of Man and Nature and you will feel the difference.
In these chapters let us explore ways and means of getting that extra special glow of inspiration. How do great people get inspired? What is the raw material for an inspired mind? What blocks the high ways of inspiration? How do we recharge our inspiration? How can we inspire others? Let us embark on a journey to breathe life into ourselves and others!
Consider our youngsters; they do not have a care in creation as they live for the moment. I question why we don’t learn from youngsters instead of going between past tense and future tense. Recognizing that the past is defunct can’t be rewound and the time to come is yet to come along. Human beings by nature feel comfortable and unquestioned in memorizing past and designing future. May we ever augur precisely what will occur in the next minute? Yet our brain never stops supposing and planning future illusions. Some one has justifiably stated, ‘Are we only worried with adding days to our life, and forgetting to add life to our days”?
Harnessing The Moment For Maximum Results.
Living with acceptance isn’t effortless.
One needs to bear courage since human beings by nature are in the habit of labeling, criticizing, giving alibis and finding flaws. Acquiring a mind-set of acceptance assists us in marching on in life. Likewise do not dream about what you are going to do once you make a lot of money, have a lot of time for meeting desires and wants and so forth. Beleaguered by life’s complexities, we draw a blank when it comes to feeling the instants that make up a day.
It is more common for us to state “When I have bunches of income, I will make sure I do this and that”. However what stops us from bringing in that income at present. Holding off depicts our favor for future tense over the present tense.
As an alternative, center energies in what you have right at present and make the most use of it. Being in the past is a great pass time particularly if the past was more beneficial than the present. We are overly glad to share with individuals “I used to be this and that. We had a huge ancestral house and so forth”. But these realities are irrelevant in the present tense context. No body is concerned with peeping into our past.
Individuals assess us on our present tense. Our thinking of past is only a distraction. Yes future tense is hope. Remember just hope. We are not certain whether that hope will happen or not. Accepting the final result of our efforts and not equating it with our expectations helps in coping with the reality.
From Good To Excellence
Enlightenment is man’s emergence from his self-incurred immatureness. Immatureness is the inability to utilize one’s own comprehending without the guidance of some other.
This immatureness is self-incurred if its cause isn’t lack of comprehending, but lack of resolution and bravery to utilize it without the guidance of another. The motto of enlightenment is consequently: Have courage to use your own comprehending!
If asked whether we now live in an enlightened age, the answer is: No, but we do live in a time of enlightenment. As matters are now, we still have a long way to go prior to men as a whole being in a place (or ever being put into a place) of using their own comprehending with confidence and well in spiritual matters, without external guidance. But we do have clear-cut indications that the way is at present being cleared for them to work freely in that direction, and that the obstructions to universal enlightenment, to man’s emersion from his self-incurred immatureness, are gradually getting fewer.
